As most of you may have noticed by now, all pages on PokemonFan.net are incorporated into a global comment system which allows anyone to comment on one of our articles. This of course allows you to easily jump in and correct or rant or make suggestions, etc about any part of the content on Pokemonfan.net. Secondly, since we do have a member system on pokemonfan.net you can actually go about creating new content as well which will then appear on the site. Please be advised that when you submit content, it is submitted to an administrator for acceptance before it is put on the site. This goes for whatever you put up, news or content articles. But anyway, to submit content you'll first have to login on http://pokemonfan.net by putting in your username and password in the little bar at the top of the screen, right next to the style switcher. Upon doing so, the site will log you in and you'll see a User Menu in the left panel right below our Partners section. You should see the following: To begin submitting content articles, click on Submit Content. This will bring up the form by which you can submit content. Now, you'll see a box which you can put in your content, as well as a space for the title, then below that you should see this: Publishing
This section is what enables you to determine where your content will go. Section defines what type of content it is you're publishing. Is it news? Is it content? If you click on "content" in the drop down box for "section" it will show a list of the various content categories, which all conviently correspond to the various drop downs and navigations on our site. Just click on the appropriate one where you want your content article to go. Author alias should only be used if you want the author name to show up as a different name than your username for some reason. Start publishing, click on the little calendar icon and select today's date, and for finish publishing, write "Never" You also have the option to include a meta description and keywords which allows google to catalog the content from the site onto google and people will be able to search for it. Once you're finished with all that, scroll back up and click on "Save" at the top of the page. You're Finished! Within the next day or so an administrator will log on and approve your content article and it'll be placed appropriately on the site and linked to. Also, just as a side note there are a handful of different special things you can do when submitting your content/news article to spice it up or to make it easier to read for other users. Please note, to add any of the below changes in format, you'll need to first click on the html button in the editor which will allow you to add html. First off, there are several different "Notice Styles." Basically these are things which bring attention to particular pieces of information you'd like to highlight. This is a sample of the 'attention' style. Use this style to denote very important information to your users. To use this use the folllowing html: <span class="attention">....</span> This is a sample of the 'alert' style. Use this style to denote very important information to your users. Sample TitleThis is a span that lets you place all of the content into a nice well formed section. You will need to use the following formatting: <div class="important"><span class="important-title">Sample Title</span>...some content...</div>

To use this: <"{tab=first tab} text here {tab=other tab} text here {/tabs}"> Make sure you're just using the {} brackets stuff. Style Switchers have become pretty popular and common on pokemon sites over the past couple years. Pokemonfan.net has a slightly different style switcher then most. Our style switcher can be found at the top of the page, next to the login box. Click on the style switcher button and a box will drop down allowing you to edit many of the various elements of our template, in addition to choosing from a nice variety of preset styles. We are of course interested in dropping a few of our templates and adding new, better, more pokemon-ish ones. :P So, if you've been playing with the style switcher, and you think you've got an idea for a good style, please comment on this page with the specifications of your new style. ^_^ Also, if you find a background picture you think we should/could use, post it here too.
